Documents Required for GST Registration Amendment

4 documentsCore-field changes: 7–15 working days after officer approval; non-core changes: same day

GST Registration Amendment is granted on the strength of the papers you file with it, so a complete set at the start is the difference between core-field changes: 7–15 working days after officer approval; non-core changes: same day and a query that sends the application back. Below is every document our team needs from you, what each one is for, and how to get it to us. You upload all of it in your Fastlegal dashboard — nothing is couriered, and nothing is payable while you gather it.

Document questions for gst registration amendment

Which changes need officer approval?

Core fields — legal name of business (without change in PAN), principal and additional places of business, and promoters/partners/directors — require approval by the proper officer, generally within 15 working days. Non-core fields update on submission.

Can I change my PAN or constitution through an amendment?

No. A change in PAN or in the constitution of business (for example proprietorship to company) requires a fresh GST registration and cancellation of the old one.
