Documents Required for Director KYC (DIR-3 KYC)
Director KYC (DIR-3 KYC) is granted on the strength of the papers you file with it, so a complete set at the start is the difference between 1–2 working days and a query that sends the application back. Below is every document our team needs from you, what each one is for, and how to get it to us. You upload all of it in your Fastlegal dashboard — nothing is couriered, and nothing is payable while you gather it.

Document questions for director kyc (dir-3 kyc)
What is the due date for DIR-3 KYC?
Under current MCA rules, DIR-3 KYC is due by 30 September following the end of the financial year. MCA periodically revises KYC frequency and dates, so we check the rules in force before filing.
What is the difference between DIR-3 KYC and DIR-3 KYC-Web?
The e-form DIR-3 KYC is filed when there is a change in personal details or for first-time KYC. DIR-3 KYC-Web is a simpler OTP-based confirmation used when there is no change in details.
What happens if KYC is not filed on time?
The DIN is marked as deactivated. The director cannot sign MCA filings until KYC is completed with a fee of ₹5,000.
Do designated partners of LLPs need to file DIR-3 KYC?
Yes. Designated partners who hold a DIN (DPIN) are also required to complete KYC.
